I might as well give the whole setup now as I can't seem to get the System Specs thing to work.

well, I'm off and running. Several hours yesterday/last night putting everything together. so far so good. fired up this a.m. and installed OS as well as some drivers and such. Looking forward to sharing my experiences with other members and may be looking for some help (from time to time).

Glad to hear your system is up.
I previously had mine up with a 2600K cpu, and a 3770K cpu since yesterday. So far so good.
Please take time to fill in your system specs or signature so everyone can see what you have.

I am also extremely new to this mb, although I have spent some time trying to find out which brands and models of SSD are compatible with the UD5H socket. It appears too narrow to support most I have seen on line.

Would appreciate any information at all.

                      Thanks

                            Exactly, Thanks. Sorry for confusion.

Apparently SSD has to be open board type 1.8" mSATA and I have to worry about width because of board layout, but I was just wondering if I had free choice from there. I have heard different opinions (and you know opinions... everyone has one) re: whether to follow Intel guidance and buy ssd that's about 2x size of max mem for board (8x4x2=64gb) or get one larger and partition to install Win 7 on remaining space.

I just am looking for some thoughts and experience from somebody who's done more with the board than just look at it while archiving their old desktop.

I was looking at a post today elsewhere where he is running another SSD for OS and the mSata SSD to cache his HDD. I'll see if he posted what SSD he used for mSata.

30GB Adata SSD is all I could see. He posts here sometimes maybe he'll leave details. Says it works great.
