Network Adapter not detected

My Z68XP-UD3 has been down for a while since I've had the cpu in the Z77 board. Today I put the cpu back in the Z68 and no internet.
I've loaded optimized defaults. uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek driver, nothing.
Right now I've got the cmos jumper on, I'm out of ideas. Even the driver installer couldn't find the onboard adapter.
Obviously this pc is accessing the internet just fine so it's the Z68 only that's fubar.

Any ideas?

Are any lights lit up on the network port, either the computer or your router/switch for this system? Does that board have 2 network ports?

Also I see you switched from the Zelman cooler to the H100 now

Hi Ace. It's working now, cmos clear fixed it. Weird, to say the least!

Yeah my H100 is coming tomorrow, cpu Thursday so I'll have the Z77 back up and running Thursday. For now I'm back on the Z68 and for some reason the network adapter didn't want to initialize.

edit: I put the Zalman cooler on the Z68, seems to be doing OK.
