    Re: GA-X58A-UD5 memory issues :(

Gaming only gets to approx 60-70 - graphics card does most the work here. However after running Prime95 for about 30 seconds i reached 80 degrees. Something is very wrong here - will look at after market coolers.
Currently running the stock intel cooler. CPU i dont believe is throttle down, thats the C1/C3/C5 or something along those lines right? Will give you some BSOD errors, the codes very quite differently each time. Never had BSOD until this new ram.

Will post in the morning - thanks for the help so far - need to sleep (2.00am)

    Keep watching this thread -
    you guys are great <3

i think its about right for stock intel cooler, good aftermarket ones are the prolimatech megahalems

to enable cpu throttling you need to use auto cpu voltage if its fixed it wont throttle,or set to normal and add extra voltage in dvid to remain stable

enable eist c3/c6 c1e can be left disabled if your running win7

0x50 = RAM timings/Frequency or uncore multi unstable, increase RAM voltage or adjust QPI/VTT, or lower uncore if you're higher than 2x

Im assuming thats what i need to fiddle with

I think there may be a minimum posts thing before i can edit my signature as its missing from the "My Settings" menu in VBulletin.

              Still no luck atm.

                Re: GA-X58A-UD5 memory issues :(

Upped the QPI and DRAM voltage a little higher - havnt blue screened as of yet - however i seem to get full system "lag spikes". My CPU is now running very hot idle 60C under 70% load on any of the cores will get it to 80C no problems.

Will grab an after market cooler - looking at a water based system thats fully closed (one that i dont have to fill up etc etc)

Can't do any stress testing or ram testing whilst the CPU is running so hot so not sure how stable it is right now. This is currently the longest it has been up - even doing simple tasks such as web browsing without blue screening.

There should be no minimum post for having or editing your sig.

Just click settings link in the very top left corner of the forum then click edit signature on the left mid way down.

Still havn't crashed at current settings - DRAM voltage is 1.7v - QPI voltage is 1.44v. Waiting for aftermarket cooler for real tests!

                    Thanks for all your help!
