You are correct increasing Pci-e higher then 103 will allow you to push bclk further. EX58 has a limitation has pci-e can not go past 103 with out a hardware mod. Otherwise you need to upgrade to a X58A motherboard which unlocks the pci-e and you can boot with 115 pci-e with no problems.

        Re: GA EX58-Extreme OC advise

I believe some users were able to set to 101-103 and still boot some users could not boot with 101 set.

Make sure you are using the latest bios.

          Re: GA EX58-Extreme OC advise

I read the the EX58-Extreme thread on XS forum , they all say Bios F12 version is the best ... so thats what i'm using right now . tho F13u is the latest .

Do u think Pcie 102 would help ?
Whats the highest safe volts for QPI/Vtt ?

          Thanx for the fast reply

            Re: GA EX58-Extreme OC advise

Yes try pci-e 101 or 102 and see if it boots. qpi/vtt can be upto 1.5+ depending bclk, memory speed/timings, uncore speed. Also try increasing pci-e voltage to 1.54-1.56v.
