Hi all
Couple of questions, as I can't see a definitive (idiot proof) answer :)
I'm currently running F7d BIOS - is this newer or older than F7? I'm not clear if they lose the trailing character when they are released, or if betas are released following a mainline, before going to F8?
Also, under F7d, my SATA3 port 0 doesn't seem to behave. I plugged in an SSD (Crucial M4) to get the Intel RST acceleration, and the Intel RAID BIOS ignored it, whilst the AHCI BIOS said I had 6 ports (correct) and 5 devices (correct - 4 x HDD in RAID5 and 1 x SDD) - then it froze for about 30 seconds, before telling me there WAS a device on port0 but reported no name :(
Moving to port 1 and everything works.
I had a similar issue with my SATA DVD+RW drive in Port 0 - it wouldn't be recognised to boot the machine to install the OS...
BIOS related? or possibly duff board? (everything else seems happy, and yes, I've tried different cables) :)
Cheers
Mr P.
