GA-8I915ME lack of compatibility with Intel Quad q8400 BIG problem !

Hello

I have GA-8I915ME and i have bought new Intel quad Q8400 processor which isn't supported with this mobo. It's vary strange because Q8300 is supported. I have F6 latest BIOS and when I run a computer with a processor Q8400 computer will not start. I can't even enter to the BIOS.

- So my it is any solution to run this motherboard with this porcessor ?
- Is any unofficial version of BIOS supporting Intel q8400 ??

you could try to contract gigabyte support and ask them for a bios with support for q8400.

You are still gonna have trouble flashing the bios unless you have a older cpu that will boot the system up in order to flash the bios.

Contacting gigabyte support is about the only way I know if you could get support for that cpu in that motherboard.

Yes I have got old CPU . I cant even make a complaint because box with processor was opened and they don't want this CPU back.
I think that gigabyte doesn't help me because motherboard is not under warranty. :(

Maybe in the forum is any unofficial BIOS to this mobo ? Im searching but cant find .

Contact Gigabyte support and I think Lsdmeasap could expedite things but he is out at the moment :(
