It's about right with 30c room temp,mines roughly 15-20c room temp,same temps in crysis 2 aswell,35c idle,72c load,you could install a fan in the case door or inside aimed at the gpu to try and cool it further

I have the same set up, ex50-ud5 i7 920! And I am having the same problems! I have a antec 900 case so i do have lots of fans going, but only one front fan is working. I have the big top fan as an out and the rear as an out and I and currently getting another fan for the side as an in. I have the same stock intel heatsink/fan , currents going to order an Coolmaster Evo. Also ordered some new thermal paste (MX-4), going to get my friend to help me with that. I am new to all PC towers, I made a trade for this set up and ran into these heat issues. my idle temps are about 45-50c and when on a game I had it raising fast to the high 80's then even in the 90's. Also another thought is my et6 says my current bios is v12 and i think there is a v13? I am not totally sure how to update my bios. Would appreciate any input and info, thanks!!

Don't update your bios just yet.
Wazza300 can help you with your EX58 settings.
http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ash-guide.html is an excellent guide.
Get familiar with the proper bios flashing procedures in case you end up flashing your bios.
If your bios flash fails, you might end up with a bricked motherboard.
Now is NOT the time to do what some many do; when all else fails, then they read the flaming manual (aka RTFM).
Most people don't have any flashing problems WHEN THEY FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES.

you mean f12 bios? not v12

f12 is the best imo,f13 isn't as good as it removes dvid option

what are your current cpu voltage? running stock cpu clocks or overclocked? ahh I see your using stock intel cooler,it is a bit rubbish tbh,youll do much better with an aftermarket cooler pref one with a backplate and some mx4 thermal paste

Yes f12 sorry, I was going to do a flash with my BIOS but still unsure about it, if you say f12 is better then I shouldn't really worry about the f13 one? And I'm pretty sure my core voltage is 0.928v. I have been using easytune 6 and Core Temp. So i started my computer this morning after it sat for more than 10 hours, and as soon as I got to the desktop i turned the program one and the core temps were reading 38-44c, And I am in a basement that is not warm at all, so do you think there might just be a glitch trying to read my temps or what is anyone's thoughts? And I am running stock cpu clocks

stay with f12 bios,download realtemp and monitor the core temps with that

you need to stress the cpu and download/look in cpu-z to see what the load cpu voltage is,you can stress it with prime95

those temps are about right for the stock intel cooler

But when I run a game and watch my temps they go from 50's to 80's , then even to the 90's. So for me to be working my cpu really hard, wouldn't that not be a good idea to be doing? and I have real temp

try re seating the cooler,seems its not on properly if its reaching those temps at stock clocks

has your aftermarket cooler arrived yet? that would improve things alot

Yes I am going to redo the thermal paste when Mine comes in hopefully on Monday, And I ordered my heatsink yesterday so hopefully next week too, then I can changes these things and hopefully see a HUGE change :)
