I am a very novice PC player and would really appreciate a step by step explanation of how to set up my ram in Bios
My system is as below - but the ram only shows as 1066 in the bios?
How do I set it up properly?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Enter M.I.T section of the bios, then Advanced Frequency settings, then set system memory multi so that is shows memory running at it rated speed. Also you have to set uncore speed to 2x memory multi or +1 or +2 for system stability.

Next you have to back up 1 menu and enter advanced memory settings and set Dram timing selectable to quick. Go down to channel A timings and set them to the rated timings that are on the sticker of your ram.

Esc back 2 menus and enter advanced voltage settings. You need to manually set your dram voltage to which your ram specifies. Most likly 1.5-1.65v. You also have have to set qpi/vtt votlage. I would start at 1.25-1.3 depending on how much ran and at what speed you try to run it at. Also qpi/vtt is effected by bclk and uncore speeds.

Save changes and reboot. You will have to use a program to determin if the system is stable with the settings you entered in. I suggest LinX set it to run Max memory at a max of 10-15 loops. Make sure you keep a close I on the core temps on your cpu while running this program. Make sure you using a program called Real Temp. Dont let the core temps get over 80c.

If you get a BSOD error look at the error number there should be a code 0x0000000124 only concern is the last 3 digits. see the link in my sig for the BSOD error codes and how to correct for them.
