All voltages are fine on auto except for CPU,qpi/vtt and dram if your at stock then they should be fine,if I were you I would re apply your thermal paste,apply as thinly as you can across whole CPU surface,its job is to fill in the microscopic indentations so keep it thin just thin enough so u can't see the metal surface underneath,then tighten down the cooler/header in a criss cross pattern and don't overtighten just finger tight,then see if it improves things,plug cooler fan in CPU fan header the other headers will be slower

Thinned out the layer that was on the CPU, there may have been a bit too much. Temps still pretty much unchanged, idle at 45 and get much hotter after running dungeon siege 3 for a couple minutes. Just doesn't make any sense if everything is working as it should be but still seeing such high temps at idle. Getting kind of frustrated, will have to take it in and get it checked out tomorrow. Been up for 32 hours, time for some sleep :S

I think there's a cure time on arctic silver paste not sure,if so try n run it hot n leave to cooldown ect,you can also set a manual CPU fan speed from within easytune,I always do this rather than leave it on auto fan speed,just set it as high as you can while remaining quiet,usually around 1500-1600rpm,you could test with the stock cooler just to rule out a faulty corsair unit,temps might be the same as your seeing now,if they are higher then you know the corsair seems to be ok

Yes AS has a cure time. I think it something like 1000 cycles or something crazzy like that. I have had great success with Tuniq TX-2. I suggest when trying a thermal paste or new block or new method of mounting the cpu cooler to try 1-2 times before mounting the cooler and powering on system on. This way you know if you are making good contact.

I see some mentioning of fan headers on motherboard.. Side note Sysfan_2 runs a half speed fyi....

CPU. core temps were all 45-50 (I actually just finally found where the core temps were lol). CPU temp is still at 55-60. I just lowered the volage down from 1.24 I think it was at, to 1.17. It also says in the bios that the CPU is running at ~3.2, but when I go into the advanced frequency settings it says its running 3.06 (which is what the 950 is specced at).
The thermal paste I used was Arctic Silver 5 and I was suggested to use Arctic mx2/4, would it really make the difference of the ~20 degree's cooler I should be running at?

Obviousely CPU temperature cannot be higher then core temps, so there may be a problem with the diode sensor or the BIOS.
45-50 are core temps under load? Which software did you use?

Try realtemp and coretemp software,try and post a screenshot of your voltages,look in easytune/advanced/voltage1

Real/coretemp software show the same temps as BIOS, idle at ~50.

Maybe the H60 does not work so well, do you have the stock fun to test with?

Unfortuantely I do not I don't appear to have my i7 box, argh. Thats really the only remaining thing to test out at this point, going to have to wait until stores open.

It's my understanding that the Corsair Hydo series coolers with a single radiator fan work "best" with the H60 radiator fan outside the case, blowing air arcross the radiator INTO the computer case. This is a "push" setup, i.e. the fan is pushing air through the cooling fins. If you have too many case fans blowing air into the case, the H60 radiator fan will be fighting the other intake fans and the radiator will not be as efficient in getting rid of the coolant's heat. I think that the optimal setup for your case fans is to have a slightly negative pressure setup where the total CFM of the exhaust case fans will be somewhat higher than the total CFM of the intake case fans.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You want to use the least amount that barely covers the top of the cpu with a very, very thin skim coating. Too much TIM is less efficent in transferring heat from the cpu to the heatsink. Check out BenchMarkReviews.com, TIM application methods for some photos and TIM instructions. AS5 does have a curing time of 100 - 200 hours, with many heating/cooling cyles for maximum effectiveness. I think that there is at most a 2 - 3 degree improvement after the AS5 has fully cured. Check out the AS5 website for their suggested method/direction of applying a short, thin line of TIM for your cpu. Hint: look in the Intel section

So I went out and picked up a stock i7 fan since they forgot to give me my i7 box and fan, and after running Dungeon Siege 3 (which has more or less been my stress tester) for half hour, my temps hovered right around 60. Now comparing this to the H60 I was using, I'm going to assume that this is an improvement and the H60 was faulty since it continuously spiked up to 70 within 5 minutes getting close to 80. Going to take it back and maybe go with an H70, since I don't think they had any other H60 in stock.

You could have a faulty unit,you should be seeing good temps with water,just return it and say you've tried everything but temps are too high and that the stick Intel cooler performed better

Thanks a bunch for your time and assistance, it's been a big help narrowing down the problem. Not sure I would have figured it out otherwise.
On a side note, after gaming for ~1 hour with the stock fan, temps stayed around 60 and immediately dropped back down to 50 when I was done. The H60 never actually dropped the temp, it just hovered high. Returning it now!

Just wanna ask,is the fan and pump motor just one four pin connection to mb CPU fan header or are their two? One for the fan and one for the pump? You would see high temps if the pump wasn't circulating the water
