Easy Tune 6

Problem with ET6. Could not get it to work, then it would not even show the gui.
So I uninstalled and tried to install the newest version. I keep getting a message that Easy Tune must be uninstalled, so I'm at a dead end here.
Does GB have some kind of uninstall utility for this?

make sure you have this installed Intel Management Engine Interface(MEI) Driver 7.1.13.1088. Make sure you reboot after removing ET6 before reinstalling then make sure you reboot again.

You can look and see in program folders/gigabyte/easytune see if any files are left behind and delete them,then it should let you install it

I had an issue the other day getting it to work it hadn't installed properly. I uninstalled it re downloaded it & installed it again, it worked fine not sure what the issue was, maybe a corrupt download or something.

No joy. It still thinks it's installed, and I can find no folder for ET6. Must be something kicking around the registry.
BTW, I've tried to install the older version as well as the updated one but no good.

Found and deleted registry key and it finally installed.
Bad news is the gui still won't show. WTH.

You are right. But it wasn't there before the uninstall/reinstall and I forgot to look.

Hmm. I can't seem to get it to work. This is just click on the speed, reboot, right?
I ran Cinebench with CPUZ but only showed 3.41.
As you can tell I'm a total noob at OC.
BTW I do have the OC from OS enabled in BIOS.

Do not Over clock with Et6. Do ALL overclocking in bios. ET6 is good for seeing/showing what settings you have set in bios Tuner tab>advanced button>Voltage tab.

If you are testing for stability and your test fails and you need to increase vcore just a little bit you can do that with ET6 just it the blue "Set" button. Do not hit the save button. If you applied voltage helped then reboot back into bios make the change and save it there.

If you need help with Overclocking you can start a new thread if you like or continue here dont matter either way. what kind of overclock you looking for?

I will go back to square one and start with the Sandy Bridge OC guide posted up top. No time to pursue it right now but hope to pick it up hopefully soon.
Not looking for a radical OC, I just wanted to see if it would help me a little with one of the programs I'm using involving a lot of FFT/calculations.
My AC went out and it's hotter than, well, you know. That's first priority right now.
My rig runs cool, but I don't!
