Re: Problems with GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775

Is this memory on the QVL list, or do you know anyone that is using it on this board without issues?

Run some single stick tests again, but this time 5-10 passes on each stick, and see if they both are the same and have no errors or not.

If both sticks pass memtest86+, try setting Performance Enhance to standard, tRAS 18 and tRFC 56-60.
4GB is the maximum the G31 can handleso it's a bit hard to set.

Re: Problems with GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775

Any good boards that are not micro, have more than 2 pci slots and a bios where you can adjust the memory timing and voltages. Or do I build from scratch, new board, ram and cpu.

Do you use the built-in graphics or external card?

Re: Problems with GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775

I was asking to know if you need a board with on-board graphics or not.
A P43 board you can get from 75 USD and up.
                  Unless you want to upgrade.
                  Any special requirements for slots/audio/others?

Re: Problems with GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775

Is the P43 chipset the best for LGA 775 board? On board sound and Network connection are what I need, at least 4 pci slots and pcie for video. The DDR2 ram and the CPU have to match that is it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not the best, the cheapest, and I think GA-P43-ES3G meet your needs.

Another board that is still available is GA-EP43-UD3L, but only has 2 PCI slots.
