Re: GA-EX58-UD3R, i7 920 (2.67ghz) shows 1.59Ghz (133Mhz x 12)???!!!!
Hey guys thanks all for the time to reply, I have tried every combo in BIOS and also re-flashed to older and newer versions.
I have removed cmos battery and shorted cmos jumper.
The turbo si definitely going the wrong way and throttling the cpu instead of boosting it but even worse is the fact that the turbo setting in bios is not doing anything either way!
Well i will be dismantling the system at 20.00 hours gmt as I had obtained an RMA on thursday but really wanted to avoid the headache of rebuilding the pc. Oh well, if any one has got a detailed description of what on earth can be causing this feel free to post your hypothesis here. As for my system, you all know the old saying "there's only so much one can polish a "Tu*d!"
Oh and if anyone has a solution which I have not tried you got till 20.00hrs before the screwdrivers come out!
