Hi folks my 1st post i'll be as clear as poss.
My current system shows my cpu at 1.59Ghz using Intel cpu id utility, CPU-Z, Realtemp, SIW & Easy Tune6.
I have tried EVERY adjustment in BIOS I can think of (including latest and older BIOS versions) and no matter what I do I cannot get the CPU to show 2.67Ghz (133mhz x 20) at which it is set to in BIOS.
FYI the CPU DOES show as 2.67Ghz in bootup when splash screen is disabled. I have even tried benchmarking with CPU at 100% using cinebench and prime95 but the CPU simply will not report the proper frequency.
I have contacted Gigabyte Tech Support and that has just turned into 20 questions with no answers, and as far as Intel are concerned they were pretty concise with saying the CPU would either work or not and this is more than likely related to the MOBO.
I hope someone here can help I am well fed up with this and really dont want to strip down the system to RMA the board unless it is the last resort.
