  • Corei7 930 high temp

    I have now COOLERMASTER V10 & same the thing with the V8 in stok speed give me in idel 40 deg. & with prime95 give me about 60 deg.
    and in overclocking the cpu to 4Ghz give me in idel 50 deg & in prime95 give me 100deg.
    so y ?
    the cpu i have it is Do revision that mean it is good version 4 overclocking ?
    new cooler and same the thing so what i do now to overclocking my cpu ?????
    My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R.
    My room temp is about 18 deg.
    so what can i do now?

    have you checked that its fitted correctly? and that the fan is attached the right way round so that it blows air towards the rear of the case? what thermal paste did you use?

      x2 and I'd probably change the TIM to Arctic Silver 5 and make sure the cooler is seated properly.

        I had about the same temps with the coolermaster V8. I tried several of the thermal pastes in the end Artic Silver 5 they all gave the same results. I have moved to chilled water cooling.
