    does UD7 rev1.0 support on/off charge?

    Does ud7 rev1.0 support on/off charge and How I can use it?
    I noticed I don't have the special USB connector on the motherboard like the ud7 rev2 so if I just use any usb port, I will benefit from this feature?

    just download the software,even works on my mb so should work on yours

      download the driver and just use any usb port to charge from or only usb3.0 ports?

        anyports i think,ive only tried on front panel usb ports and it worked for me,havnt tried usb3 as my mb doesnt have them

        here taken from gigabyte utility download page

        supports x58 so im assuming all models

          you have to have the latest bios. Im not sure which bios version started to support it but make sure you using the latest version. Along with installing the drivers.

          My new board x58a-ud5 rev2 has the dedicated on/off ports. The only thing I noticed is that one time I did have the computer off and tried plugging my Iphone 4 into the usb port it did not start charging. I have not seen a option in the bios for this. This was using my front panel usb ports plugged into the dedicated on/off usb port on the motherboard.

            I think it may be USB 2 only, not sure?

            I also think there may be a hidden BIOS option to disable it, not sure there either :) I do know there is a hidden BIOS option to enable resume from USB.

            It will work on your Rev. 1.0 board though
