  • UD5 X58 Rev 1.0 F13M BIOS OVER CLOCK CHECK

    Hi there,
Not posted for ages but thought I'd check in after BIOS update and OC settings check.
Almost a year ago I got my 4.2 OC stable as chips with the help of LSD. Dont try that at home folks LOL. you know what I mean ..

Any way, of late, I updated the BIOS with the latest posted here (F13M) and decided to re apply all my settings manually as the format of the BIOS has changed a lot since I last dabbled; review of current settings & voltage & memory settings compartmentalised to mention just the obvious.

Any way I have experienced some sudden instability lately and wondered if my old settings need tweaking to match the latest bios's, maybe they changed such a lot i need to review my settings to catch up and eliminate these niggles.

Nothing major, the odd blue screen or gradual system lock after resuming from sleep. Here are my settings, please could some more capable person have a quick look and see if there are any howlers in there; too much volt, too little? ETC. PC SPEC in sig. Much appreciated.

if its a beta bios and has no fixes that you need i would flash back to the latest final bios if it was more stable, have you tried a few clicks more qpi/vtt? i find i need more on certain beta bios's than others

Re: UD5 X58 Rev 1.0 F13M BIOS OVER CLOCK CHECK

What Bsod codes were you getting? Look at my sig for them...

What bios did you come from? If you jumped from like F7 to F13m I wouldnt think your old settings would work.... They should if you went from like 13k-13m.

When ever I update to a new bios I always start at stock settings and work my way back up. If my lower clock voltages are close to what the old bios was then I might jump right to my 24/7 setup and retweak from there. I suggest returning to stock settings and work your way back up to 200 blck.

Re: UD5 X58 Rev 1.0 F13M BIOS OVER CLOCK CHECK

Thanks! I'm not the best OC'er really, I bought the system PRE DONE (from a shop) , and had to come here to get it stable, Maybe I should get the latest STABLE RELEASE from web and start from scratch. Or is there a guide I can follow?

Re: UD5 X58 Rev 1.0 F13M BIOS OVER CLOCK CHECK

arh I just did a bluescreen view and the bug check is "0x00000124" incorrect qpi/vtt voltage ( to much/not enough)...looking at my settings, do you think im too low or high in that respect, I did up them from 1.24 > 1.26 with the new bios, maybe its too high now or need even more? thank s
