I have a weird issue with my USB3 ports.
I have an external 2.5" USB3 Enclosure/Drive. Every time I connect it to the PC in the USB3 ports, Windows 7 tells me that it recognises that this drive would run faster in a USB3 port (to which it is already connected).
I have pulled apart the drive to check it, doesn't seem to be any problems. Using the USB3 cord supplied with the enclosure. I have tried reformatting the external drive as well as disabling any jumper settings on the drive.
Doesn't seem to be doing anything.
All drivers are up to date and OS is up to date. Also updated the firmware for USB3 to the latest.
System Specs
Xeon W3520 @ 4.42Ghz
X58A-UD7 with F7w bios
6GB Corsair Dominator GT's
2 x HD5870
Asus Xonar D2X
Corsair HX-1000
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Watercooled CPU
I have a theory in mind as to why it might not be working, but I'll see if you guys can help before I tell you.
Thanks again guys and girls.
