    wot can i tell ya.
If your happy with your overclock the cpu v isnt that high now.

My Q8400 is probably providing more performance than your Q9550

but for near max performance q9550 check out posts by Conners and his search for 500fsb and beyond like a stable 4.1 Ghz on q9550 on the ud3p.
450 fsb(cpu ref) you should be able to use a multiplier other than 2:00 for your memory,to get max bandwidth/minimum latency.
If you do find conner's posts and get like 480-490 cpu ref you will get higher performance than me I would hope.
    Current Systems:

    Asrock p67 Extreme6.............. Gigabyte EP-45 UD3 ...................... Gigabyte 73 PVM S2
    Intel i5 2500k 4.8ghz................ Intel Q8400 3.8ghz......................... Intel D820 2.8ghz
Zalman 10x cooler.................... Coolermaster V8............................ HP cooler
    8GB Gskill ripjaw ddr3.............. 4GB Gskill PI ddr2.......................... 4GB samsung ddr2
    60GB ssd/500GB HDD .............. WD 1TB hdd.................................... Seagate 160GB hdd
    GTX 460 1GB x2 SLI ................. Msi 9600GT 512MB(died) ........... Onboard gx
    Win7 64 ,750w psu(ocz)............ Win7 64 ,520w psu,seasonic...... Win XP pro ,400w psu

HEC 6A34 case . ....................... Jeantec R2 case............................ Packard Bell case

I bit more Vtt might allow you to lower your vcore a notch or three

I can get to 4.25GHz stable, when the ambient temp below 25c, but now it's summer and the ambient temp is above 30c so I prefer keeping my oc below max.

        I'll try it... Thanks

Something weird happed (before I changed the Vtt), I got BSOD on bootup although the oc is 24hr prime stable and the temp is good.

Unfortunately not, It seems that my OC isn't stable as I thought, It passes 24hr prime but when I try to watch HD movie my system hangs (works fine without oc).

            Any ideas ?

That could just be caused by a bad GFX Driver, are you using the latest?

Since it is fine at stock that may not be the issue though, you say Prime95 stable but how about other tests such as Memtest86+ or LinX/Intel Burn Test?

Might just need 1.24 or so MCH Core voltage. Can you check with Memset what tRD you are getting using auto, it might be set too low.

Get it here, the setting is called Performance Level in Memset

I have the latest driver, I tried to reinstall it but no joy.

I did a Memtest check it's all ok. It passes 20 LinX loops without any errors.

Here is the Memset info (tRD set to '9') -

                Thanks for the help

                Edit:

You were right it is program related, I removed the ATI driver and the Codecs (K-Lite) and now it works ok... I'll try to install ATI driver again to see if that is the cause.
