Just crashed after 5 or more hours, so now on 1.22V.

Just crashed after 7 hours on 1.22V.
Now trying 1.24V..

PC Frozen, no cpu nor disk activity, forced reboot required every time.

What test is it that you are running? If Prime/Orthos, what type of test are you using (Blend, Small/Large FFts)?

Leave MCH as is, raise Vcore to 1.275-1.32 and see how that goes

I am not running any test apps, I am just using the PC for work and play, for about 14 hours per day.
It has just crashed again, but this time (and for the first time) windows blue-screened then rebooted itself. MCH Core was at 1.260V.

Will try the Vcore at 1.275-1.32 later this evening.

OK, with MCH Core at 1.260V and Vcore at 1.275,
I crashed after 3 hours of normal use.

MCH Core Auto, have you tested that? It should work with 1.24-1.32, but just wondered if you tried auto or not.

How about 4.00D, can you boot with that at all?

OK, now test 1.225-1.25 Vtt with the above settings, no other changes.

Then if that fails go back to the above settings, and then only change tRD to 9 for both channels.

It's looking like this memory isn't very comfortable in this board :)

You are right, the ram was made for Intel P55 chipset.
But people have succsessfully got it working, with good performance on my P45 board.
andressergio on xtremesystems has posted here, showing he has overclocked a Q9650 on the same board and ram.
I will test Vtt changes later this evening and report back.

Not yet, I have not long since found that post, the thread has 288 pages also!
I have scanned though it briefly but can not find settings to match my cpu being used normally.
Setting I found were for overclocking a Q9650.

Well he is a member here, and I am a member there, so I'll go over there and PM him and see if he will come give you some advice and or settings for that ram.

He's on X58 now though, but hopefully he will remember his settings.
