    Re: GA-EP45-UD3P Rev. 1.1 F6 Q9550 4GHz

2:00D.. erm i'm using 333mhz mch ref in the bios.. am i an idiot for not using 400mhz 2:00D? and thanks for that post kick, now i have a very very good guide on how to get 500 fsb, :]. (and my ram will notttt run higher than like 1080) so 2:40D is out of the question :/

These settings were stable enough for my Q9550 to pass 24 h of Prime95 small FFT's, 24 h of large FFT's and 20 passes of Linx with max memory.

        Re: GA-EP45-UD3P Rev. 1.1 F6 Q9550 4GHz

thats a nice oc, and yeah.. those temps are like whoa.. lol.. but theres no way im going past 1.4v :/ especially for such a little ram speed boost, like 20mhz lol :/ (cause thats all i want now, i got 4ghz stable sadly at 1.32 mch core i believe.. or 1.34) any other less voltages fails and freezes the computer sometimes.. that cant happen because its my server. the specs that i posted on the first page minus like .010-.020 mch core is the specs im running.

          Re: GA-EP45-UD3P Rev. 1.1 F6 Q9550 4GHz

You need to adjust your MCH ref then if you find you have to use too much MCH voltage, that or you need to move to "D" multi's

the mch ref is already calibrated for what i had originally 1.36, now im running 1.34 with the same mch ref so far so good, lsdmeasap could you tell me whats the difference between the "B" multis and the "D" multis? (if anything)

OK, so what did you set it to when Vtt is at 1.2?

B multi's are For FSB 333-400, and D multi's are for 400+ FSB. These are internal NB timings and speeds, set MCH Strap to Auto and then you can choose memory multipliers from either strap

                Re: GA-EP45-UD3P Rev. 1.1 F6 Q9550 4GHz

i dont think my vtt has ever been 1.2, or do you mean when i was setting it? i put like .880 cause .863 wasnt wasnt available, but once i put it to 1.3 .863(i think it is) was available so i picked that(after researching of course). vtt is 1.3 now...

About the mch, either way its going to be 2.00B or 2.00D.. nothing is different other than the letter? (at 2.00.. 2.40D is obviously different)

Ahh so you are setting MCH Ref wrong then possibly, but yes I meant when setting MCH Ref. To set MCH Ref you need to put Vtt to 1.2, then adjust MCH Ref, then raise Vtt back to what you want to use.

See the MCH GTL link in my signature for more on how you are supposed to adjust this value.

A lot is different between 2.00B and 2.00D, those are internal NB timings and speeds. Above 400 FSB using D will be better
