update.... the e8400 cpu works fine... as for the rma on the quad core intel are just dodging the issue... heres the email they sent dated 12-5-10

You should get on Intel chat, I hear they are great and issue RMA's right then after some hassle asking the normal questions about troubleshooting, ect.
