You will need to wait on or PM artdrivers for help with AMD, he is our resident AMD Guru (Reminds me, he needs a member title change)

Hi race301 What do you want to work on first RAID? http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/ga-8...se-help-38942/ or OC? Unlocking cores? Find Advanced Clock Calibration (ACC) function in your bios. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...-ii-x2_15.html
Have you flashed your bios yet? http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ctID=3342&ver=
Below is a PDF of your motherboard manual. It may take a bit to download. http://download.gigabyte.ru/manual/m...gpa-ud3h_e.pdf

I already have W7 64b loaded on a 650 WD drive, so o/c for now. :) First AMD I have owned. Thanks in advance.
            I have this ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227483

              Re: Ga-890gpa-ud3h o/c

Could we start with a picture of your PC health? Below is a template of it for you to copy your bios temps, voltages, and fan settings to it. I believe this is a good place to start. When you first go into bios set it to load optimized defaults. Save and exit. Reboot back into bios for readings.
              Code:
              PC Health Status
              Hardware Thermal Control [Enabled]
              Reset Case Open Status [Disabled]
              Case Opened No
              Vcore 1.364V
              DDR3 1.5V 1.536V
              +3.3V 3.280V
              +12V 12.048V
              Current System Temperature 38oC
              Current CPU Temperature 36oC
Current CPU FAN Speed 1962 RPM
Current SYSTEM FAN1 Speed 0 RPM
Current SYSTEM FAN2 Speed 0 RPM
Current POWER FAN Speed 0 RPM
              CPU Warning Temperature [Disabled]
              CPU FAN Fail Warning [Disabled]
              SYSTEM FAN1 Fail Warning [Disabled]

              CPU Smart FAN Mode [Auto]
              System Smart FAN Control [Enabled]
Then we will have a look at your motherboard intelligent tweaks. Again change templates. Please make no changes to your bios. Change items in red. Nothing else for that may confuse me.
              Code:

If you have a black edition cpu you will be able to change the cpu clock ratio. http://products.amd.com/en-us/Deskto...f11=&f12=&f13=
You don't so we will be adjusting the cpu frequency which is a little more tricky. It will change the memory, northbridge, and HT Link frequencies at the same time. So we need to calibrate these settings as well. The best way is set the memory, northbridge, and HT Link multipliers down a little to adjust for the much higher overall frequency which they call cpu frequency. I will supply minor tweeks on voltage as well.
                      Code:
                      MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)

Awesome OC but you may want to set Dram voltage control to 1.5v +.15 = 1.65V and set Row Cycle Time to 32T 8+8+8+24=32T. Then try Prime 95 torture test http://mersenneforum.org/gimps/p64v2511.zip
See how long you can go without errors, but watch temperatures. I use HWmonitor for eyeing voltage and temperatures in Windows. http://www.cpuid.com/download/hwmoni...itor64_115.zip
These and other programs can be found here.

Will try your settings after work tonight. I ran OCCT for 2 hours and temp never went higher than 23c. How do I unlock ? Thanks
