Is my OC safe? e7400 UD3P

Hi there, some of you might be aware I was having some OC stability problems. Well I seem to of fixed them and I have no crashes in games and everything seems to be running fine.

My system is 20 hours prime stable using Small AND Large tests.
I used default settings after installing prime and just ran the 2 tests seperatly. I ran the small FTF test twice both times going for 20 hours.
I stopped it after 20 hours and had no errors. My temps topped out at 76, but were generally lower around 70 most of the time.

My temps during Intel burn test were alot higher. Topping out at 86
My system also passed the Intel burn test of 5 passes using maximum stress level.

Ive taken some screenshots and ill post my complete bios settings, Could you please give me some advice if you think voltages are way too high or anything should be lowered. Or if any of the below settings should be changed. Or if you think I should push the system even more. Thanks.

Setings looks OK. I'd try to lower MCH Core some.
The memory is rated 1.8-1.9v but that's up to you.
Your core temps are very high though, something you may want to look into.

EDIT: Another thing you may want to try is set Performance Enhance to standard and manually set Static tRead to 8 or 7 if it's possible and see if you get better memory performance.

Chike, in your sig when you say 78c full load stable, what are you using to stress when your temps top that high?

Themps are for IBT max stress level (1534MB) but when my idle core temps are ~45c, Prime95 blend torture temps are ~67c, both at ~25c ambiant temperature.
But my processor is M0 stepping, Psycho101 has the same processor as yours and his temperatures are way lower.

i just did a short prime blend test my idle temp was 34degrees, and it maxed at 65degrees, thats pretty acceptable isnt it?

IBT seems to push temps REALLY high.

You let IBT hit your CPU for 86 Celsius? That not good bro, I'd personally draw the line at 70C, though 75C for short periods seems to be acceptable.

Yeah 65c for Prime95 is ok, but you need to let it run for at least 5-10 minutes for it to max (at least the blend torture).
I ran IBT with temps high as 83c but it is not where I want them to be. At summer I run lower OC (3.6GHz) because of high temperatures.

What is the room temperature when you're running your stress tests?
Lower room temps will typically lower your core temps by about the same amount.

IBT or LinX tests will usually result in 10 degree (C) higher core temperatures compared to Prime95 tests.

How many case fans are you using with your RC-690 case?

MCH Core = 1.28 or possibly 1.26 should be stable with your 2x2GB memory.

Im not sure exactly how hot the room is, but It is aircon'd.
During a gaming session temps only topped 56degrees.

Ive manage to lower the following without any problems so far:
MCH core to 1.280v, CPU Vcore to 1.325v
ive also change static tRead Value to 8 on both channels
and set dram performance to extreme.

Im also looking to overclock my Gigabyte 9800GT, ive installed Gamer HUD. Whats the best way to go about maxing my OC on the card and tests/stability benchmarks involved? Im really happy with 10x400 on the cpu, now its time to push this GPU to the limit.
Stock speeds are:
Volts: 1.05v
GPU clock: 700mhz
Shader: 1715mhz
memory: 900mhz

I have 3 fans in my case,
intake on the front,
intake on the leftside (blowing air on the GPU/mobo) I thought about switching this fan around so its an exhaust, wats ur thoughts on this?
And an exhaust on the back. My cpu cooler fan is blowing air towards the exhaust on the back and the fan is parallel to the one on the back.

Check out Guru3D Downloads for gpu overclocking, testing, benchmarking and demo software.
I've used ATiTool and EVGA Precision to overclock my 7600GT video card. I haven't tried RivaTuner.
FurMark is a good tool to stress your gpu.

Based on your bios settings from post #1, you can probably improve your memory performance by setting:

I have four 140mm 1000 rpm fans in my RC-690 where two are mounted in the top of case and two are mounted on the side panel. I think that the best setup for you is to keep the side case fan blowing into the case and having one or two fans exhausting hot air out of the top of the case. Don't forget that you can also install an additional fan in the bottom of your case. 120mm fans can also be used (without adapters).
