  • MA785GT no temp readings

    Hi all,

    i got the 785GT and a X4 955 BE with 4 Gig ddr3, running WIN 7 HP 64.

everything seems to run OK, BUT:

when i turn on ACC (hybrid, Auto) i do not have CPU temp readings with any of the usual tools (core temp, CPUID HW, whatever)

with ACC turned off, readings in all progs are normal.

I got no clue on what may be the reason. Since i would like to OC, i better have some temp readings.

    what can i do?

    mike

I've got exactly the same thing but I also read this is supposed to be normal. I disabled ACC since I have no use for it (and even forgot what it does exactly).

      Hi jelbo,

ACC is a somewhat quite mystical feature, no exact info can be found. It seem to help getting higher OC values than without it. Probably also help with unlocking cores in twin/triple CPU's.

I turned it off as well.

is a known Gigabyte issue - ACC breaks the core temp readings. however cpu temp reading (socket sensor) should work fine.

I don't exactly recall any other temps than coretemps in any of my monitoring tools (HWmonitor, Everest, CoreTemp, etc.).

HWmonitor should show many temperatures TMPIN1 is a cpu temp. What version were you using? You may want to try another version. Not the pro version. Just to see if it makes a difference.
You may want to check it again. Below is version 1.15 64bit

              Hi All,

thanks for your reply's. Here is my update:

Indeed if ACC is on no software will read the CPU temps, seems to be a bug. None of the above mentioned work arounds will fix this issue.

With ACC off, everything works fine.
