its either the psu or ram or mb,its rare to have a faulty cpu,try with another psu as some arnt compatible,i know its a pain but its best to check everything first as it might simply be faulty psu or ram

I have an Antec P183 and CP850W power supply bought together with the rest of the components. It is clearly supplying power. Defective power supplies that I have used in the past just created system instability, they never prevented the computer from POSTing. It's all going back to be tested anyway so we'll find out.

My first instinct was that it was a RAM problem, but the motherboard behaves the same way regardless of whether there is RAM inserted or not. That suggests to me it's not the RAM. A motherboard problem seems most likely to me.

if you have another psu then try it just to eliminate it,as for ram it might be incompatable with the factory bios idk with bios update it might work perfectly but you cant update the bios until you can get the mb to post
