  • GA-EP35-DS3R Realtek Disables After Power Loss

The GA-EP35-DS3R onboard Realtek NIC will get the disabled splat after a power loss.

I thought it was dead but read here (thanks) to load BIOS optimum defaults after a power loss and it works again. But then I have to reset my clocking. Yawn.

Fine. I have a video/electronic alarming & notification system that I need not to experience this after a storm and I'm 500 miles away.

I have it to boot back up to the last state it was in.

Anyone know how for remedy this other than spring for a DLink PCI NIC card? Does Giggabyte know>?

      Thanks,

The mobo FW I can figure but the on-board NIC makes me shy off.

It's on-board and they list them as PCI & PCI express. Why do they not have an on-board category?

OK, I got it. I take it I choose the top one Version 5.738 for WinXP SP2?

Windows says I'm up to date with a 2007 version. Heh?

So even though the board is a Gigabyte you guys would suggest the upgrade from Realtek?

        Thanks

Yes, they do label things funny, likely translations or something?

Yes, just choose whatever system you have, from the link I provided to you.

Yes, I always suggest you get all drivers direct from the source. What do you mean 2007, what is 2007? That driver I linked you to is new, as in this month
