What brands do you like, or does that matter to you? You in the US?

How much do you want to spend? I just did reviews on two kits, see my signature.

If you do not like those brands/models then let me know what you like and I can look around a bit for you

Re: X58A-UD7 what's the best ram

You can only compare latencies to judge speed if clock frequency/DDR rate is also the same. Sure, DDR-1600 @ 7-7-7-21 will be faster than DDR-1600 @ 8-8-8-24 but what about DDR-1333 @ 7-7-7-21 vs DDR-1600 at 9-10-10-29?

IMO, go for the best balance of DDR rate and timings. The new GSkill Ripjaw is excellent IMO. Not sure if they have triple channel kits yet as I've only used them in P55 boards as twin packs.

Another great buy would be the Mushkin Lsdmeasap has reviewed here: http://forums.tweaktown.com/f58/mush...-review-34046/

They're great modules with quite a bit of OC headroom should you so desire. I assume seeing as you're going for the UD7 you will be over clocking?

            +! ^^

I try to always ask what people like before I mention what I prefer, as I hate things sounding like favoritism when it is really just my personal preferences

Top game, of the two you mention (Kingston/Gskill) G.Skill is the better choice

yeah u can get ripjaw in tri channel packs ^_^

theres a chart i saw about the new gskill ram which was really good.

even tho that chart doesnt list the tri chan ripjaw kits, they do exist.

                Whats your heatsink..

I've got a megahalems with push-pull akasa apaches..

Problem: There isn't that much space between the socket and the DIMM slots.

I've had to do some cabletie madness with my fan clips, so they are on the side at the bottom rather than cliped around front.

However... I've got Corsair Dominator sticks.. which are really tall.. so you might want to go for something like XMS3 or something similiar in height.... so they fit under any clips etc..

                Just a thought

I am using the first set you linked, the Ripjaws. They work fine in my EX58-UD3R. I have them running at DDR3-1640 @7-8-7-22-1T, 1.60 volts. Geez they were only $139 when I got them.

^^+1, I prefer the Ripjaw too. Better value for money IMO and should easily OC to 1800 @ CAS 8 too.

Price has increased recently because they're getting very popular. GSkill and the retailers must have noticed the extra demand and decided to take advantage of it, sadly.
