    Re: Problem overclock Q6600 + EP45-DS3l

Yes, it may be possible to adjust things, but you need to find a stable point first, not just boot stable I mean testing with programs such as Memtest86+ or Orthos stable.. Once you get your CPU to a stable speed you want to keep then you can work on tightening up the memory

444-12 may not be an option with that much ram, you may be able to try 544-12 or 554-12 ect though, of course you can always try 444-12 but from the specs it may not work unless you pump 2.0-2.1V into them. Then maybe, not sure as I have not used any 4x4GB Sticks myself

I would go by the fail not the one that have not.
How long do you run prime, is it always the same worker that fail, which test do you run and what FFT size fail?

              FFT 1000 on core 0 fails a
All other coress worked well till 2 hours on 433*8.
I do not want to increase vcore, but maybe some other adjustments will help.

Also, can better results be reached on other mb model?
What's mb will be beter for overclocking the q6600?

seems overclocked q6600 has the best ratio price/perfomance.

                Re: Problem overclock Q6600 + EP45-DS3l

I think your memory will be holding you above 400FSB, FFT 1000 may be due to memory settings, run small FFT first for several hours to make sure it's not CPU settings.
Can't avoid raising vcore when it's needed, the only way I know to know for sure is running IBT, but your temps are pretty high and IBT may bring them near 80c or above.
Please post tour full current BIOS settings again.

With what settings? Please always post full settings when things fail, that way someone can try to look at things and make suggestions back to you.

May just need more Vtt or Vcore with it lasting 5 hours, sounds like you are getting there

Wow, that is some high MCH for 3.6, may not be needed and could be causing you issues as well. Did you try less? Just wondering, with that ram you may need it though but I doubt it unless the need is caused by the high FSB of a quad

                          Re: Problem overclock Q6600 + EP45-DS3l

Much RAM i need for big math calculation matrices, at about 6-8 gbytes size.

Got 3.4 stable with this params, 8x425, 14 hours 100% prime test passed,
                          Temp was =< 68C.

3.6 will be good too, but if it can damage i will leave to 3.4 back.

in memset timings with 9x400 the same, 5-5-5-15 with 2.0V

Yes, but I would like to see the timings so I could advise.

So are you saying you had to raise MCH or it would error when doing a big problem? Are you sure it was not more Vtt or Vcore that you needed instead?

Without rised mch it doesn't boot.
now RAM Vcore is 2.0V MCH is 1.34V., CPU Vcore 1.475 all reference voltages is set to Auto.

It hangs only if heavy load.
