Ahh, I see. I've downloaded the the program, but it won't let me run it since I'm stuck in Safemode ( It gives me an error message about not running in safemode. ). A friend is going to burn it when he's home and free, and I'll update then.

Why are you in safe mode did you set the memory back to 800Mhz? What it would not boot into windows?

No, I'd mentioned that earlier. I still can not boot up into windows. It crashes unless I boot into safemode. Flashing the BIOS didn't help.

The memory is set at 800, with 1.9v. The test still fails ( while in windows ) when set to 1066 2.1v

Oh yeah I see now. Have you performed a clean formatted install of Windows with the bios settings set to optimized defaults?

No, I haven't reinstalled windows. Unfortunately, that isn' doable right now. I have a windows Cd, but it's home, while having windows Professional installed. It won't let me reinstall over it though, and formatting the whole drive can't be done. ( Too much work-related stuff that I can't lose.)

Is that looking like my only option now?

Yes It was your first and foremost option, and still is. The formatted clean install will fix those corupted files that wont allow you to boot into Windows. If you want to save all the work you will need to install the clean Windows on a new harddrive. Then you can put that drive as a data drive and collect the data you want to save. I am afraid this is about the best way to do it now.
