    Are the recent Windows 7 32-bit audio and chipset drivers for the GA-MA790X-UD4P backward compatible with XP 32 bit?

    No. XP uses a totally different driver model.

    If you want the most up to date audio drivers, download the XP version direct from realtek. I believe version 2.34 is available for all formats. the same goes for chipset drivers.

    If there are no updated XP drivers, this is simply because the current driver is fine and no changes are necessary. Newer does not always mean better.
