  • BIOS Information - what has been fixed.

I've been reviewing the BIOS information at Gigabyte's site for my P35-S3G. There is only a one liner describing each revision. Is this all the information about what has been changed/fixed, or is there a place to get more details?

Re: BIOS Information - what has been fixed.

There is one other site that i think is german where users report their experiences with different bios versions, but it's name eludes me at present. Nevertheless not every board, revision or bios release sees any feedback.

I tend to think as with most manufacturers of hardware, games, general software etc that often the "headline fix" or new functions are listed in the release notes. So often although something might not be listed that say you are having issues with, doesn't mean to say it hasn't been fixed.

So yes, as with other vendors, Gigabyte do only tend to offer a little bit of info with their bios releases and short of finding any other feedback on the Net or even from GB technical, that's basically your lot!
      GA-P35C-DS3R Rev2.0 F11 bios, E8200 (@3.0Ghz), OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Reaper 4GB (@1200Mhz), Xonar D1, 8800GTS 512, Corsair HX520 (Single 12volt line, Max 40A), WDC 3200aaks/5000aaks in AHCI mode, Vista 64 Premium.

The german site link for EX58 for example is : JZ Board=

Thanks for the feedback. It is exactly for the reasons you mentioned that I would like more details on fixes in BIOS's.

There are some issues that may be BIOS related on my P35-S3G, but I don't want to risk flashing a new BIOS on speculation. It would be nice to see release notes outlining all the fixes.

          Oh well.
