  • Q: about Win7 drivers

I'm wanting to update my OS to Win7 7100 64bit.I went to GB's site for some new drivers but couldn't find any for Vista past 08 or early 09 and further more they didn't say anything about Win7,I thought they might be the same but would like to know in advance. Could someone point me in the right direction for the drivers/anything else i might need for my sig rig?

I am also wanting to update my bios to the latest but i dont know how to use the program thats on this site, its different from GB's bios. any help would be great, thanks.
    Thanks

        GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS Download
Bios Flash Here is some easy instructions from Lsdmeasap----->

Download from Asia/China then when you get to open extract it to a formatted floppy Then remove the floppy reboot when you hear the post beep repeatedly press the End key on your keyboard. This will put you directly into the QFLASH bios utility. Install the floppy and follow the installation procedure.

          Re: Q: about Win7 drivers

Just my opinion, but it's probably not the best idea to use drivers from a board manufacturers site. You'll get the most up to date drivers by visiting the manufacturer of the peripheral directly. For Network and sound drivers download from Realtek. For Intel chipset drivers download from Intel direct.

The only driver you may need to visit the Gigabyte site for is the Gigabyte (JMicron) SATA controller (purple sockets). I'm sure even those have more up to date drivers on the JMicron site though.
