    Re: Configuration for GA-EP45-DS3P

Yes, I already gave you that setting back with the full settings. That is your CPU's default setting anyway

    So you need this >>>
    >>> Standard Clock Control
    CPU Host Clock Control Disabled
    CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) 333
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) 100
    CIA2 Disabled
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40B] (FSB of CPU is 333 x 2.40B = 800Mhz ram speed)
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

Your English is fine, I just thought maybe you were not listening to me or thought I was wrong.

So i change my bios configuration. Now it's ok, i wait some hours and days to see if it's ok.

I have a question : when i changed my bios configuration my pc reboot, it's possible this is due to a bad memory?

No this is normal. If a setting you changed requires the motherboard to re-set internal settings to accomodate the change, it will totally power off the system before re-starting again.

But the system not restarted, i restarted my computer with the button reset. I did not even validate my input (F10). I think May be that you said : th e motherboard want to reboot after changed an option.

You need to use F10 to apply your changes, then the system will restart, sometimes 2-3 times before the settings are applied and windows will boot. Depends on what you change or how many changes you make

So. I still had some Bosd but I like the RC windows seven, I don't know what to think about this.

Moreover some times when starting the BIOS, he block on the detection of memory. I'm going into the BIOS, and then I got a warning message telling me that I had a bios crash to overclock.

So i changed some voltage : Auto to Normal.

If you have some ideas. Thx.

Could you post your current BIOS settings?
Have you ran memtest86+ with only one stick in slot 3 too?

                  Hi,

Now my Bios blocked many many times at the first sreen on "Detecting Memory" (bottom of the logo of Bios Award). I think tomorrow i will change my memory.

                    Re: Configuration for GA-EP45-DS3P

It could be much easier to assist you if you had your system specs in your signature,
IMO you don't need most the settings changes you made in BIOS where the assential settings MCH Core left auto.
I reccomend you to clear BIOS, the load optimized defaults, Set Performance Enhance to standard, all other settings on auto, and see if incerasing MCH Core, one notch at a time, up to 1.26v make things better.
If increasing MCH Core doesn't help try lowering down from 1.1v, again one notch at a time, down to 0.95v,

Thank's for your reply. I make my signature, but i write my system specs on the first post.

For the Bios i changed auto to the value for voltage, because my bios got a warning message telling me that I had a bios crash to overclock.

But i'm trying now with your proposition.

Settings look ok, do you still get the red warning?
It's not if it's good for me but if they are stable and work for you, you the only one to say if they are good or not.
Run memtest86+ first then see if you get more BSODs.
To be sure everything is 99.9% stable you'll need to run some kind of stress test like Prime95 blend test for 6+ hours,

The red warning disappear and i see this warning just one time.
For the value may be it's good for me, you have right when you said that : "It's not if it's good for me but if they are stable and work for you, you the only one to say if they are good or not". But I don't want necessarily overcloker the computer but it only works well at first. However in the futur if the system is stable may be ...

For memtest86+ my memory pass 14 times without erros. I will try Prime95 blend test this night and i post the result of this test tomorow.

Thx a lot Chike. And good night (may be just for me because in France it's night )

If sticker on the memory says it can have 2.1v, and Prime95 fail, set DRAM Voltage 2.05-2.1v, try again.
If this does not help try 1.26v MCH Core.

                                Hi Chike.

Prime95 has turned all night without error. Now i can't try another test but tonigth may be i can try some test if you want (may be another software for testing memory and system).
