  • EX58-UD5 error code 26: Don't know what else to do...

    Hello,

It isn't the first time this error 29 shows up.
First was a couple of months ago. I decided to clean my GFX cooler and when I installed it back: CODE 29 and stuck! Well, I've disconnect all the cables, waited some minutes and when I pushed the button, the mobo booted ok. The second time was when I decided to upgrade my monitor. Same sh*t!
Yesterday, it happened again! And this time, nothing worked! No Boot! WTF? Aren't we allowed to clean the dust off our rig?! I've since tried EVERYTHING the manual says; I've also, uninstalled the system to the bone, that is, to the motherboard and installed only the necessary components to boot the system. Man, I've done nothing more than cleaning the dust out of my PSU (wich I've desconnected before, of course). Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE:

Ok. I'm posting this again because I have some news: the code error turned out to be b2 and not 29. The error b2 is not listed in the Gigabyte's manual but, I searched a bit more and I've found that this error points to the "Memory".
I've tried all my RAM sticks together and one of the time and the board still didn't post. So, I removed the CPU and verified for bend pins in the 1366 socket. It turns out to be several pins bended! I think I've narrowed down the problem to this. But, now, what should I do? I don't know if there's anyway to put the pins aligned again unless I send it back to Gigabyte so they can fix it... But, I can't afford 4 weeks without that sistem... What should I do? Thanks, again

Fraked if I know how people bend pins but as this is not a warantable offence your better off to give it a go yourself. Basically you just need Good lighting and something super small to manipulate the pins with. Perhaps some very fine tweazers might be the go that way you can use the squashing method to straighten them. I dont not suggest any form of pulling.
