Although not as bad as DFI, I find the Gigabyte downloads to take forever. I live in Canada, so I tend to use the US site. Is it where I live, or do the servers just suck? Whatever, it is a big dissatisfier to have such crappy website performance.

Haven't used a Gigabyte download for awhile so I can't speak directly to your issue. However, I have found that it is sometimes faster to download from overseas servers at peak times when North American servers are being hammered. Agreed. The website is super slow, as are the downloads from all servers.
Much the same as Realtek. Downloaded the latest 2.24 HD audio drivers at a friends house yesterday (my broadband is down). I used their "express" FTP server first, and got a huge 3KB/s. The max I got on HTTP was 35KB/s, and it's definitely not the connection, as it's a Virgin Media 50Mb/s line (over 3MB/s).Coolermaster CM 690 II advance Case
