EX58-UD5 will this sound card fit.

I am thinking of upgrading my sound card to a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-Express - OEM please could someone let me know if this will fit the UD5 as the heatsink for the northbidge is in line with the pci-e slot. Thanks.

Hi,

You can use it in any free PCI-e slot, even x16. So as long as you don't have Tri-SLI you should be fine.

I have the X58 Extreme, and my soundcard (which looks the same size) does not fit in the top slot. I have been using it in the bottom slot with no problems (see last link in sig for pic).

Thanks for the reply C3D76, I did thought it had to go in the small slot at the top of the board.
