First time system builder. Board is GA-EP45-UD3R Version 1.1. Running two WD SATA 3 HDDs in RAID 1 array. Everything went together fine and test post worked. Booted into BIOS and set up RAID array, then ran Windows XP Pro installation. I had pulled the MSM 32 drivers from the Gigabyte utilities and extracted them to a floppy disk. When XP installed I did the F6 thing and the setup window showed the choices for the controller to install. I had expected more then the 5 that were there (at least according to the Gigabyte manual). The manual said to install the Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R SATA RAID Controller but the only one on the floppy even close to that was a Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO SATA RAID Controller. I chose that and continued installation. No problems with install and it appears that everything is OK with the RAID setup. Just curious if anyone has had the same experience and what the difference is.

    Thanks for response.

    Re: R

That sounds fine. It looks like the file you chose just supports more than it did when the GB manual went to print.
