( note to person complaining about x58-ds4, ha, for x48-ds4 is only like 3rd bios update they've bothered with for my poor expensive friend that still has latency issues, ds4 is the very unloved stepchild in all lines I guess )
Oh, and don't feel bad if nobody responds to your questions.... X48 is old news now and nobody gives a crap about it, including GB. I'm as frustrated as you so I will be selling my board soon. Good luck.E8600

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
Does anyone know, will there be a new BIOS for the EP45-DS3L? It's been over 6 months since we had a update. And the F10 wans't such a big hit.GA-EP45-UD3R (F12)

I have seen many Boards killed (IE: Bricked, that is your motherboard is now a brick and you will have to RMA your board) by using @BIOS. I would guess that more then 90% of RMA's due to a bad flash, were because of @BIOS alone.
Yes it may work for you once or twice but if you keep using it you will find out the hard way it is not a good idea. Windows based flashing has always been looked down on and likely will never be a accepted or recommended method to flash a BIOS
More as personal experience when I used @Bios few weeks ago, I had for the first time in 15 years working in the IT to RMA the Mobo!?Intel Xeon x5650

with ga-extreme to update the bios f6d ----> f7a, indicated by invalid bios qflash only with @bios and successful, now f7a ---> f7c qflash works perfectly ,
Only in that case I used @biosLast edited by sirioo; 05-12-2009, 10:19 AM.
