I had plans to use Offset-voltage with a 45/41-OC in one of my presets. Unfortunately, I think BCLK/99.78 complicates things,
and with BCLK/100.01 my PC becomes unstable at OC.

Quite contrary, it keeps system stable. As most OC guides say CPU clock is the KING of OC...so rise CPU clock with CPU multiplier as much as your temperature allows you and enjoy. Anything else is more less insignificant ;)
check RAM for example,single...double...channel...speed...latenc y...all in +-5% why bother...speed up CPU and be cool

I think that the best way to OC is for you to not use Vcore Offset but instead to just increase the Vcore (VID) to 1.2v (For starting, this can be decreased later) Just set the BCLK to whatever makes it say 100MHz in Windows, increase the Multi to 45 and stress test for a while using OCCT or Intel Burn test/Similar Software :) Don't mess with any other voltages or settings yet including XMP (Just leave memory running at 1333MHz until your CPU OC is deemed stable)

As for Vcore changing when Enabling/Disabling XMP profiles, I don't think that it should? As XMP is for RAM timings :S Just try not enabling XMP set Memory timings manually and set RAM voltages to 1.5 or 1.65v (Whichever applies to your memory kit)

My sweetspots with static Volts and XMP active were: (F2 bios)

@ 44/41 (ran these settings for about a week, then I wanted to see if I could up it a notch)

Vcore:1.235v
LLC:Turbo
Vrin:1.85v(with IGPU) 1.8v(without IGPU)
VRing:1.15v
C-states, EIST and CPU Thermal monitor enabled.
rest on default/auto.

@ 45/41

Vcore:1.241v
LLC:Turbo
Vrin:1.92v(with IGPU) 1.86v(without IGPU)
Vring:1.165v
EIST and CPU Thermal monitor enabled.
C-states and the rest on default/auto.

AIDA64 gave me coretemps up to 86 degrees/c @ 45/41.
When I played games, CPU stayed for about 65-67 degrees/c. (coretemps in hwmonitor)

VID did not change at all when I activated XMP in F2 bios.

Manual-->100.00 ...reboot

activated XMP/MEM-multi... reboot

BCLK=100.00

(hmm, Corsair @ 1600MHz with Mem-Multi 16/XMP, raises BCLK to correct 100.00+VCore)

That board has only seen a single official BIOS version ever since the board release and no updates for like 9 months.

Trying to figure out how to solve IOMMU errors in Linux.

overclocking potential then normal UD5H).

So, it appears these are slightly identical, exept endurance test. For the different bios versions maybe the gigabyte team focus more on the UD5H than the UD5H-BK or the BK edition get a more advanced bios due the frequency memory support.

Maybe I missed it in this thread but I was wondering if there was a flash back to convert P67A-UD4-B3 back to bios for example P67A-UD4-B3 F8? I've tried the dos utilities "FlashEFI.exe" and "Flashspi.exe" and I get "!!! BIOS does Not support Flash Interface !!!" error and when I try it via Q-Flash I get a "Invalid Bios image" error. I've actually tried even to see if I could update bios with a newer P67A-UD3-B3 UEFI bios to see if maybe that would fix things but that even gives me an "invalid bios image" error during qflash (and dos utility gives the previous mentioned bios does not support flash interface) error.

Are we going to get this microcode update for Z87 too, I take it that its for the new 4790k and i5 counter part.
