Looking for general settings for my bios. Here is what i want to achieve, i have a ep45-ds3r, i want to run my e8500 around 3.6 gz i have some ddr-2 1300 mghz it dont run stock at that, but it comes as ddr-2 1300, and will run well past that, it runs on 2.35 to 2.45 volts, so i want about 3.6 processor, and around 1300 plus on my memory, it runs at 5-5-5-12to15, thanks again for all your help, this is a awesome forum.

Here is the link to my ram, it takes overclocking to get it to 1300, but i have seen plenty of people going way past 1300 with it at 5-5-5-15, 2GB Team DDR2-1300 PC2-10400 dual channel memory kit

What you see someone else do with ram cannot be expected of your ram, keep that in mind for all hardware.

So did the above settings help you get going any?

sorry took me so long, i have just started testing, got to 1300 no problem, with about 380 fsb, but when i raise the front side bus above 400, wont run, trying some tweaks now, will back soon .

                Re: ddr-2 1300 mghz

Ok it works at the setting you gave me, now i would like to get to 475-480 fsb and try to be stable, if i go over the 401 you gave me, i get blue screens, so based on the setting you gave me, what should i do to get more fsb stable ?

                    Re: ddr-2 1300 mghz

You cannot push your ram that hard is why 405+ FSB is failing for you, back off the memory multi and increase the FSB while you add voltage is all you need to do. You should have all memory timings loose and the speed set low while you try to find the high FSB you want, then set the ram later

What don't you understand? The Memory you have linked to, is some of the fastest DDR2 I've seen and the price reflects that too. It's advertised rating (1300Mhz) is significantly above that of most of the competition out there which tend to have an advertised 1200Mhz ceiling on their best/fastest DDR2 products.

Are you trying to destroy the memory? Everything has a limit and even a 10%+ increase which it looks like you have already achieved, from already extremely overclocked RAM is outstanding. I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve?

                              califmike2003,
                              I agree with VorLonUK,your memory is DDR2-1300 but 6-6-6-18-2T,with 2.35-2.45V.
                              Will run fine DDR2-1200 5-5-5-15.
                              Read some threads like this
