Hey guys, i bought an EP45T-DS3R mobo recently, ive been saving up for a bit and waiting for great deals on individual components. I have
An E8400 CPU, OCZ Reaper Hpc Ram 2x1GB 1333mhz ram the cheaper CL9 edition, nVidia GTX260, 600W psu.
I had a 400GB Western Digital HD but i started getting weird errors, programs i downloaded were all corrupt, games crashed a lot, xp started not loading so i thought i had a faulty HD, the HD was a year old so i decided to upgrade and bought a new 500GB hd. I thought that solved the problem but now it seems im starting to get similar errors.
I reinstalled XP when i got the new hd, got all the newest drivers and newest bios. I tried to only set a few settings and keep it simple so i wouldnt cause the system to hang. But man this mobo seems a lot more unstable then my old 965P-Ds3 mobo.
I dont know memory settings too much, so i havnt fooled with them but i did turn off most extra performance boosting and power monitoring options. I overclocked the cpu to a modest 3.33 ghz and left it at that. I initially lowered the CPU voltage and this worked fine but when i started getting problems i put it back to stock (1.225) but this really didnt help. I'll restart and upload the settings.
