    I've read everything I can possible read in these forums tonight and have been messing with bios settings constantly. Before I get into any overclocking I would really like to be able to get my ram set at its correct settings. Problem there is whenever I set the standard timing controls to:

    5-5-5-18 with MCH Core to 1.3 or 1.4
    DRAM Voltage to 2.1v

    the computer reboots 3 times and puts me back to the settings it worked with originally (5-7-7-20 or some crap). I followed LSD's settings for someone with a very similar setup to mine but still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated...hope I supplied the right info.

    Set these voltages and then reboot >>>
    MCH Core…………….....1.100V...........: << 1.25

    DRAM
    DRAM Voltage ……....1.800V............: 2.1

    Then set Driving strength profile to 1066 and reboot

    Then Set MCH latch to 400 only then reboot. Then set trd to 9 and reboot, then you can work on the rest. If 400 fails at this point, try 333.

    Start here >>>
    tWTR.......................................... 12
    tWR............................................14
    tRFC...........................................62

    Then after that you should be able to enter the rest of your timings, and lower those as well

      I was able to set MCH Core to 1.24 or 1.26 with DRAM Voltage at 2.1 and the computer POSTed and booted. I do not have an option for 1.25 for MCH Core.

      Went on to the next step and set the RAM timings to manual, changed the Driving strength profile to 1066 and nothing else. Computer would not POST. Tried a few other things but eventually reset it back to MCH Core 1.26 and DRAM Voltage 2.1 and that is currently where I am.

        Got it working....not sure how exactly but after tweaking for awhile I'm not at correct stock settings. All settings you suggested are working now. Now could you help me with some overclocking? What info do you need?

              Thx LSD - I read your OCing guide and was able to get to 2.8GHz and it was kinda iffy stable. While messing with some more options trying to get it to stay stable it wiped out all my settings >.< Had to spend the next 20 minutes getting my settings back for the ram =P

              I tried making a backup of the BIOS with QFlash but it did not backup the settings...just the stock BIOS like I thought it would. This board doesn't have the CMOS profiles option like you mentioned. Would be really nice to have.

              Anyways when I get home tonight I will fill in the template and let you know what I'm running at.

                Do you know you can use BIOS profiles? F11 is Save on the MAIN page, and F12 is load. This will help you out alot, be sure to arrow down as you save and name more then one profile so you dont overwrite them

                Qflash will save your profiles if you have some in there. Just so you know for next time

                It does have them, sorry I didnt read till now your last statement. You MUST be on the MAIN page of the BIOS and hit the hotkeys

                  You are awesome - sweet didn't see that last time I was messing around there. Got my current working settings saved to floppy and the BIOS. Very sweet feature.

                  I will post my settings later tonight have them all written down just don't have time to type it up.

                    I would like to just attempt 3GHz at this time...don't really think I need more than that, but after getting that stable I'm sure I can tweak it a bit.
