Good luck in deciding what to get, Be sure to measure your case before you order anything

Re: EP45-DS4P and Mushkin Memory Settings

I've made improvements to the airflow inside my case which has dropped the temps (both idle and full load) of my case and CPU. I'll also be installing a new CPU cooler which will help.

I can't seem to get my OC to boot at any FSB at or above 400MHz. I am Prime95 and Memtest86 stable at 3.35GHz (395FSB x 8.5multiplier). My memory settings are as you (Lsdmeasap) suggested in the posts above:

My system is rock solid at 3.35 GHz with a FSB of 395 but as a soon as I try increasing FSB to 400 or 401 or 402 or 412 or 430 it refuses to POST. I've tried increasing CPU Vcore up a notch at a time (up to 3 increments max). I've tried loosening memory timings to 5-5-5-15 and 5-5-5-18 with no luck. I've tried manually setting memory multiplie to both 2.0 and 2.4 with no success. I've even tried a 'Hail Mary' pass attempt setting FSB to 430 with MCH set to 400 all with no success.

Any suggestions to what I can do or should not be doing to achieve an OC of 3.4GHz or more (not that 3.35GHz isn't good enough really)? I just can't understand the wall I've hit at FSB of 400MHz.

      Thanks.

Re: EP45-DS4P and Mushkin Memory Settings

You will have to use 400 MCH latch for 400+ FSB, static tread of 8+, and set twr, twtr, and trfc very high until you get booted thru. Use manually set memory mutli of 2.00 and use 2.1V for now as well

You are likely going to need to set the termination and PLL manually, as well as increase the vcore. I would think 1.34 or so Termination and 1.5-1.56 Pll should help you

I would also go ahead and set Driving strength profile to 1066, I find that the next one above the speed you are trying to run the ram works best
