ep45-ds3 e8400 @4.2ghz

hey i have a ep45-ds3 mb with a e8400 runnin 4.2ghz stable in prime for 9 hours aslo runnin 2x2gig corsair pc2-8500 mem i can not get it to boot on 5 5 5 15 timing at 1066mhz @2.1 dram volts but will boot on loose timings at 2v all other voltages are on auto apart from cpu vcore thats at 1.424
plzzzz help :)

I wish i could get my e8400 to 4.2 i can only get 3.6 cant get anything higher with out giving the cpu like 1.45volt and its still not stable wtswap ur cpu for mine runs 3.6 at 1.244 ps my ram same brand but its dd2800 4-4-4-12 i have no probs having it run on its 2.1volts

2x2GB needs some added MCH voltage

So you will have better luck once you Manually set your ram voltage to 2.1 and then add +0.1 or +0.2 MCH voltage

If you want some help make a thread, you should not need that at all to boot at 4Ghz, you likely just need some other things adjusted rather then trying to add CPU voltage

ok so ill set dram to 2.1v do you have any idea what to set my mch core volts to at the mo its set at 1.3v im guessin u ment mch core volts

and atm im at 9x 467 to get 4gig so what should i set my ram multi too

i put mch core on 1.320 and dram to 2.1 and ram multi to 2.40b and wouldnt get past bios flash screen so still same result

Ya, I mean add more. Did you already add some? If so how much? I believe 1.6 would be the max, but you would likely only need 1.4-1.5

2.00 or 2.40 (1120 so it may not work) for your ram Mutli

Or use 8 CPU mutli and 500 FSB and set Ram Multi to 2.00 1:1.

Or 8.5 CPU and 470 FSB ram Multi to 2.00

Hey, ya know 9x467 is 4.2 right? I know you said 4.2 above, just wondered cause you said 4GHz just now though

What settings are you trying to use? Please fill this out and I can better help. If you want, post it back twice, once with settings you used that work, and second time with settings you tried that fail >>>
