Hi people! I'm new in forum. I need a help...please.

I own an GA-EP43-D3SL. I installed Windows Vista X64, its Ok. I run a lot of games and softs and everuthing is Ok, but when I try to make an splitstream with Vista e SP1 using vLite soft, the system crashs and i get BSOD...

    Can be memory problem?

    Thanks!

Yes, please post your full specs. And what ISO app are you using to burn this dvd with?

This is Just a template I use to ask people there settings, pay no attention to the numbers in it, replace with yours

      Re: GA-EP43-D3SL crashs

Thanks for answer. I'm not burning DVD yet, I just triying to slip stream the SP1 of Vista Ultimate X64 to later generate ISO to burn, but the system crashs before I can make a ISO, in merge of SP1 e Vista CD...

Ahh OK I got ya then. So it is Vlite that crashes then right?

Please post the settings you are using in the MIT section.

Yes, when Vlite is doing a lot a process (merge SP1 with Vista CD), Windows Vista crashs, leaving to a blue screen of death.

My MIT are all default values, because I have updated BIOS to F7 and used LOAD OPTIMAL VALUES option. The Processor is running at 9 x 333 (Core2Duo E8400) memory in 5:6, vdimm 2.1v and PCI-E in 100mhz (I fallow your advise in your post).

          Thanks for your atention Lsdmeasap.

            Re: GA-EP43-D3SL crashs

Can you please post your full specs then and I will give you some settings to try. Auto or Default is not suggested to run your system with, just to get it started so you can go in the BIOS and make the needed changes.

I suspect you need to make some Ram changes for sure, and depending on your ram set (2x1 or 2x2) likely some voltage changes

Ok Lsdmeasap! I will see the settings at home and I'll post here. The setting of Ram tha I remember:

              Using 2 x 2GB DDR2 1066 G.Skill
The timing is set to 5 - 5 - 5 -15 (the timing of label in memory sticker), running at 5:6 of CPU at 533mhz@1066 DDR, with 2.1 vDimm.

              Thanks!

Ok well fill in the above template when you get home and I will see if I see anything that is set wrong.

Likely you just need some trfc changes and MCH voltage adjustments

Set to highest ranges below and move one at a time lower testing after each move. If you do not have the patience to do this, you can leave them all on AUTO. In parentheses is the better range, if you can get there stable, if not 52-62 will be fine

Thanks again! I'll try this. I don't now that I'll have to change MCH voltage...MCH is NorthBridge, right?

When I made changes and the system don't boot, how I can load previous setting? Yesterday I have this problem and I hold power button for 3 second and the EP43 flash the backup Bios in main Bios, returning to version F4...

                        Yes, MCH is the NB

So, what do you mean? You cannot load the BIOS at all or windows? If windows please post for me the BIOS settings you are using that is failing

I just a doubt...in my old DFI LanParty, when I try a setting that doesn't and don't boot, I hold a key in keyboard and the motherboard load a safe settings...

Lsdmeasap, I think that o found the issue.

I try to boot up the system with a 1066mhz in memory, but every time that I tried this, the system fails. So, I checked the sticker to confirm memory type. Is a G.Skill PC8000 5-5-5-15 2.0v~2.1v.

So, after this check I run MemTestX86+. Bingo! Memory module have problems (in 17 minutes, memtest returned 262 errors) running at 800mhz.

                            I'll send memory to RMA...

Thanks a lot for your help!

                              Well PC28000 is only 1000Mhz not 1066MHz

And errors could come from your settings. So you would want to be using >>>
                              System Memory Multiplier ..............: [3.00] = 999 Ram Freq

                              Try that before you RMA
