Believe me when I say I google and thread search before posting. I just cannot get a plain and clear explanation.
I just built my first system and it's great. The case came with one fan.
I just replaced it and added a front fan with Roswill RFX-120 fans.
They come with cheap little card slot controllers.
OK, the wiring has Molex, motherboard, and fan connectors. I tried it with just the molex connections and the controllers work fine. The fans can get loud at full speed but are quiet enough to cool good whan I throttle them back. My PC is quieter than my Fridge now. I'm happy.
Now in hardware monitor there is no indication of the fans or rpm. So I hook up one of the 3-pin wires to Sys1 and the other to Sys2 (both are 3pin). Still not present in hardware monitor. Still running at the speed I set with the controllers.
So other than the best way to wire these fans up, what the heck is FANIN0 and FANIN1. What are the differences in the sys fans and the power fan connections?
