  • C2750D4I No http access to IPMI

    Hi,

i have issue with this board (BIOS 1.80, BMC 00.14.00). The item came with v. 1.5 and 00.12.00 from supplier.
I connected it to router and could access BMC (ip from DHCP). Than i made an BIOS and BMC update.
I could access BMC. I changed sysadmin password and set fix IP address in Network part. It was the last
deal with BMC although there is ping answer from this port.
How can I get back the access per http?
I cleared CMOS (i hoped it helped) but no changes. Is there possibility to clear BMC or to set factory default?
Then I tried telnet. On IP address (i set in BIOS) i could login to BMC with sysadmin and password i had set before (so i knew clear cmos did not affect BMC settings).
I take a look at logs in /var/log. There are some entries in critic.log. The entry "web not enabled" is very strange.
In other logs i found entries with bond0, it could no be deleted (sorry at the moment i cannot see the logs).
I tried to start webgo.sh in /etc/inet.d but without success and critical error "web not enabled".
I looked for this issues in internet but i found nothing.
Has anyone an advice? Later when needed i can post the whole error codes or log entries.
By the way i could install freenas ohne issue.

There is a way to reset the BMC back to factory default. And the command needs to be executed in DOS (not MS-DOS). Please PM me your personal information such as product serial number and your name. Thank you!

I ran into the same problem during BMC update yesterday. The card resets back to IP 0.0.0.0 so I lost all the connection. Luckily, the server is running fine. I'm using Centos. I installed IPMItool at the server and sent instructions from there. If you still have access to BMC, make sure you also set the netmask and gateway correctly, then power cycle. I was able to get back my http that way.

                  Hi, William

I finally managed to finished setting up my Asrock c2550i4d board up as a 2012 Domain controller after a couple of weeks when the IMPI web interface Lost all connection as with the other users here it just comes up with an IP (most of the time) and can be connected to through SSH but not the GUI. I spent a few hr's trying to find the commands to reset or reflash the BMC from anything other than the web interface but the only references I could find were in this forum

is there anyway I can get the tool you spoke of to reset the impi settings. Thank you.

Re: C2750D4I No http access to IPMI

I believe I am also experiencing this same issue as of today.

I have been running the latest BIOS and BMC versions for a while now, and the problem occurred after a normal server reboot.

IPMI works with ipmitool, the BMC responds to ping, and the following ports appear to be open:

                      PORT STATE SERVICE
                      427/tcp open svrloc
                      50000/tcp open ibm-db2

However, the web management is inaccessible. The network settings are OK, I did not make any changes to anything - it just suddenly stopped working.

I've done a full reset several times.

From reading this thread it appears I will need to run the reset tool. I've applied for an user account in the mentioned dealer & media zone, and waiting to see if my account will be accepted.

I can help to facilitate resetting the BMC for you. Please confirm the model number of your server board and serial number. [email protected]
