Re: How to factory reset IPMI configuration without GUI
Hi guys,
I've been in talk with a member of the support team, who, in exchange for my mail address and the MB serial number, sent me the software that is needed to reset (entirely) the IPMI configuration (not your disks, but the whole "access-from-afar-web-interface" thingie).
The tool works fine to reset users passwords, and it never caused me any trouble.
Just load it on a FreeDOS USB stick (on the root of the drive), insert it in the MB plug, load it on startup with the F11 key, and you get to the C:> prompt.
Run the command they instruct you to, and the tool works magic all by itself, tells you its done, and then you can reboot (I only found hard reboot then) the machine.
On reboot, I was able to use the factory default user/pw combination.
Nice to see that the MB is still receiving support !
Cheers,
