I wanted to change the admin password and (I think that's what caused the lockout) entered a 100-something bit password into the system. It was only when I accepted the changes that it dawned on me that the "20 bit" checkbox was there for a reason (more complex passwords don't get stored right, I guess), but it was too late.

I tried getting in with part of the entered password and (of course) with the full one, but no luck.
And, of course, I never configured any mail in the system.

Can somebody point me towards a reset maneuver ?
    Hi guys,

I've been in talk with a member of the support team, who, in exchange for my mail address and the MB serial number, sent me the software that is needed to reset (entirely) the IPMI configuration (not your disks, but the whole "access-from-afar-web-interface" thingie).
The tool works fine to reset users passwords, and it never caused me any trouble.
Just load it on a FreeDOS USB stick (on the root of the drive), insert it in the MB plug, load it on startup with the F11 key, and you get to the C:> prompt.
Run the command they instruct you to, and the tool works magic all by itself, tells you its done, and then you can reboot (I only found hard reboot then) the machine.
On reboot, I was able to use the factory default user/pw combination.

Nice to see that the MB is still receiving support !

    Cheers,

      Hello there,

I don't know how, but I managed it to set the MAC address of my C2550D4I to 00-00-00-00-00-00. I can't find any solution to resolve my problem. Can you guys help me?

      UEFI Version: P2.40
      BMC Version: 0.30.0
      OS: Windows Server 2012R2

      Thanks

      Michael

        Hi Michael,

In BIOS - BMC Networking Configuration, do you find an option "Restore Factory MAC"?

            Hi,
french customer of an Asrock C2750D4I Board, i'm running freenas 11.1 on it without any problem except i've lost IPMI , my bios version is 2.90
Ip adress of IPMI answer in browser but it's impossible to authenticate and in bios BMC test is failed, no mac adress is seen in IPMI settings.
            it should be D05099E0046B.
In Freenas GUI IPMI item is no longer seen
            My serial : 58M0XW000269

Is it possible to send me a software to fix this ?
            Thanks for help,
            Best regards
