H67M BIOS I3 2105 compatability? Mem? HDMI_spdif?

Hi,

I am about to get H67M and a i3 2105 which is very new I see from the Asrock site that I need BIOS 1.4 (3/8/2011) which is odd because the only changes in 1.4 are a modification to the boot logo. BIOS 1.5 (6/24/2011) has Update CPU code.

So what happens if I get a board with a old BIOS that does not support the i3 2105, will I be able to boot and DOS upgrade the BIOS or will it not boot?

I see there is a HDMI_SPDIF connector on the board, with does this provide an electrical spif signal that I can simply use to provide an electrical rca digital out to go into a exteral stero DAC?

Sorry about the questions but if it will not boot with a 2105 I am stuffed as I have no other 1155 cpus.

As its a V3 board I am looking at perhaps some knows which was the first BIOS version its shipped with and if that supports the 2105?

Dear Paul666,

H67M with CPU i3-2105 can boot normally with the original BIOS P1.20.
Please don't worry about this.
