About trying to find the lost folders:

Is there any way to find them in DOS?

Some folders I can find in find file but most I can't.

I'm realizing that I most likely will have to forget them

My recommendation for 1 last shot at getting back files.

It's free, so give it a try.

Best do it as soon as possible after losing/deleting the data -- though I have recovered files 3 weeks later. Yeah, lucky!

But as far as getting ready to reformat, only a couple of music CD's to write, and hopefully Files found.
I'm about ready.
Four Data CD's wrote and two music, cleared up mass room. But I knew that. So within a couple more hours, should be reformating!!! I'm getting anxious to see how much better it will run. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well!!
